Interest paid on this account, is set by the Federal Government’s Deeming Rates. It’s not obligatory for members in receipt of a pension or other government assistance to operate a Deeming account. In fact in some cases members can earn more interest selecting another mecu product. You choose what’s best.
VISA access card or Redicard PLUS access
With a VISA Access or Redicard PLUS you can withdraw cash from any rediATM direct charge free (from March 2009) in Australia and most ATMs worldwide, pay for purchases using EFTPOS, deposit cash or cheques and withdraw cash at over 2,900 Australia Post outlets displaying the Bank@Post sign.
