Not only are e-statements convenient and more environmentally friendly, according to an article by Computerworld, e-statements could potentially eliminate mail fraud and identity theft.
NSW police are advising the public to consider e-statements given the ease at which criminals can obtain personal details from letterboxes.
So far 7% of mecu members are currently signed up to receive free e-statements, so if you’re not, do yourself and our environment a favour and sign up today.
E-statements are simply accessed via mecu’s Internet Banking service and you receive an email alert when your statement is ready to view.
