Chief Executive Officer - Phylip Doughty
Phylip is responsible for and manages mecu 's group operations. Phylip works with the Board in setting group strategy, monitoring group performance and budget, and in ensuring all prudential, legal and compliance matters for the Credit Union and group are properly adhered to.
Phylip has a Bachelor of Business with an Accounting major, is a Fellow of the CPA, Australian Institute of Company Directors and Taxation Institute of Australia.

General Manager, Operations - Robert Allen
Robert is responsible for the Insurance, National Access, Credit Control and Risk Management departments.
The Insurance team supports frontline staff to deliver to members quality, competitive financial protection against many of life's possible unfortunate events.
The National Access team provides the quality back-office banking services that make modern banking convenient (e.g. eCommerce, cards, internet and telephone banking).
The Credit Control team works with members to keep loans a benefit rather than a millstone and minimise debt problems. Risk Management provides dispute resolution services, ensures member privacy protection, and coordinates operational risk management, sustainability performance and quality improvement across the organisation.
Robert is committed to the mutual model to provide trusted socially responsible financial services in the best interests of customers who are also shareholders. With a background in teaching, local government and small business, he has worked in and managed most aspects of credit union operation.

General Manager, Development - Rowan Dowland
Rowan holds the role of General Manager Marketing and Development sharing responsibility for shaping mecu 's response to sustainable development, whilst aligning mecu 's approach to banking with the expectations of its socially progressive shareholding members located throughout Australia.
mecu 's corporate communications, community relations, business development and marketing tasks all fall into Rowan's area of responsibility.
Rowan regularly speaks to a range of audiences including boards, CEO forums, community sector and government organisations as well as professional associations on the mecu story and business case for sustainable development.
In 2006 Rowan was appointed as a member of the Al Gore Australian Climate Change Project.
Whilst not busy trying to save the world Rowan lives with his partner Maria in the Yarra Valley and returns each year to a village life in rural France where he spends time writing, drawing, photography and enjoying all things French.

General Manager, Corporate Service - Damien Walsh
Damien's areas of responsibility are Finance, Administration, Human Resources, Information Technology and Company Secretary for mecu .
The Finance team is responsible for the financial management and financial reporting of mecu . The Administration team is responsible for administrative and property functions of mecu .
The Human Resources team is responsible for the recruitment, training and professional development of mecu 's staff.
The Information Technology team is responsible for the development and management of banking systems, voice and data communications, area networks, hardware and software applications.
Damien is a Fellow of CPA Australia, a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Business Degree and a Masters in Business Administration.
Damien has worked primarily in the financial services sector having spent time in Enterprise, ESSO Employees, Outlook and Members Australia Credit Unions.
Damien shares responsibility for shaping mecu 's response to sustainable development, a highlight was presenting at the 2005 UNEP FI Global Roundtable at the United Nations, New York.

General Manager, Personal Banking - John Yardley
John manages mecu 's retail member service operations including call centres and service centres. He is also responsible for mecu 's lending solutions including personal loans, car loans and home loans and investment loans.
John's primary responsibility is to ensure that the people working in mecu 's service centres and call centres provide solutions efficiently and in ways that best meet our members' needs.
John holds a Master of Business Administration.
