Internet Banking at mecu
We have completed our Banking System Conversion and are please to advise members that Internet and Telephone Banking services are now active.
Please visit the banking conversion page via the link at the bottom of this page for more information regarding the conversion.
Following the system conversion Maroondah members will need to access Internet Banking via our web site at www.mecu.com.au. Please use the login link at the top of this page.
There will be some differences in Internet Banking that you may notice and hopefully this information will help you enjoy your first experience.
Secure SMS and VIP Tokens
As indicated in our previous letter you will need to be registered for Secure SMS or register a VIP Token to enable a full service to transfer funds and complete BPAY transactions.
Logon to Internet banking:
To logon to Internet Banking you will only need your member number (some members will have new ones) and your Net Code (existing Maroondah Net Code).
Membership Number and Account Numbers
Some members will have received a new member number as their number already existed on the mecu banking system.
This new member number will need to be used after our system conversion to access Internet and Telephone banking services.
When you use Internet Banking your new account numbers will be displayed with an account description.
When making a transfer to another mecu member’s account, you will need to know the other member’s account number (not member number) before you can conduct the transfer.
Accepting Internet Banking Terms and Conditions
When first accessing Internet Banking you will be asked to accept the mecu Terms and Conditions before transacting.
Transaction Limits
Transaction limit for external funds transfers, member to member funds transfers, funds transfers within a membership and BPAY is $10,000 and secure SMS or a VIP token is required. To regularly transact over this limit a VIP Token is required.
